It was reported therein that the recommended formulation, 394, had a tendency to build up white, emulsion-like deposits at the edge of the effective area. Flight tests by the Federal Aviation Agency subsequently verified this. It was necessary to use windshield wipers to spread the film. In the wiper area, the rain repellent was very effective.
