Quantitative Relations Among Measures of Behavior under a Fixed-Interval Schedule of Reinforcement

Behavior of subjects under a fixed-interval schedule of reinforcement is often represented in a plot of cumulative responses versus time. Three per¬formance measures have been suggested to characterize the behavior represented in such a plot: the index of curvature, the quarter life, and the first half ratio. This paper describes the quantitative relationships among these three measures.
