EIGHT QUARTERLY TECHNICAL PROGRESS REPORT DESIGN OF HYDROGEN-OXYGEN CAPILLARY TYPE FUEL CELL

The design of the 1965 modules is complete and improve¬ments have been made in the thermal control system and the cell plate design. Advance design studies are In progress. Design verification tests of components are also underway. Pinal assembly and motion tests of Module Number 1 are scheduled during November. All parts for the remaining deliverable modules are being fabricated. Delays have been encountered in receipt of fuel cell plates and some components. The orbital fuel cell experiment was attempted, but a vehicle course deviation necessitated its destruction. The fuel cell package was recovered, but has not yet been released by the Air Force.
