ACCELERATION OF THE CONVERGENCE OF THE KACZMARZ METHOD AND ITERATED HOMOGENEOUS TRANSFORMATIONS

Two methods of accelerating this convergence are ana¬lysed. These methods result in iterating a non-additive homogeneous transformation on Euclidean n-space E n. The problem of the existence of an asymptotic rate of conver¬gence for certain convergent homogeneous transformations on E is considered.
