Exploration of Gas Laser Applications in the Infrared and Visible Range

The report briefly describes the author's laser and quantum electronics research including further development of high speed infrared point contact tunneling mixer-rectifier diodes, excitation and relaxation studies in molecular laser systems, coherent effects in short pulse propagation, laser-induced line-narrowing effects and their applications, and the development and application of techniques for precision infrared spectroscopy.
