Beam Patterns and Directivity Indices of Parametric Acoustic Arrays.

Using an approximate model for the saturated primary beam,the authors calculated the beam patterns and directivity indices of parametric acoustic arrays. Several curves of the beam patterns and of the directivity index are displayed as a function of the above parameters. It is seen that the half-power beam width is too wide in this model and that the directivity index decreases with increasing primary source level. (Modified author abstract)
