This report developed analysis procedures and test data on promising new integral concepts for attaching spars to skins in advanced composite wing structure, creating a data base and test methodology for future advanced structural concepts to be utilized in future aircraft systems. A total of three-hundred and eighty-four (384) tests were performed, including both static and spectrum fatigue with temperature spikes. The tests addressed the following wing loading conditions; flatwise tension (fuel pressure), transverse tension (chordwise tension), longitudinal tension, lateral spar web load (fuel pressure, spar shear, in-plane shear, combined transverse/flatwise tension, and combined longitudinal/flatwise tension. The tests were performed at room temperature (dry) and at 265 degrees F). The test results indicated that the new integral concepts are viable structural concepts for attaching spars to skins in advanced composite structures.
