Study to Determine the Difference in Medical Proficiency between Health Services Command and Forces Command Medical Specialists (MOS 91A)

This study was conducted to determine if there is a difference in medical proficiency between Health Services Command and Forces Command Medical Specialists (MOS 91A). Medical Specialists who have been assigned to a hospital and who have been assigned to a field unit were administered a proficiency test to assess their medical proficiency. No difference was found between the two groups on their test performance. The author concludes that these results do not justify deletion of the Proficiency Training system because other, non-measured, factors may be relevant.
