摘要

This communication identifies the phosphorylation sites on tyrosine hydroxylase, the rate limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of the catecholamine neurotransmitters. The phosphorylation of the enzyme by the calcium and phospholipid dependent protein kinase (protein kinase C) is established and it is reported that both protein kinase C and cyclic AMP dependent protein kinase C and cyclic AMP dependent protein kinase phosphorylate the identical site on the enzyme.
