The purposes of this project were: (1) to test the ability of various beamforming techniques to separate the sound paths by vertical arrival angle in a shallow water environment; (2) to determine if a source can be localized in range and depth by back raytracing; and (3) to test matched field detection as a method of determining source range and depth.
