Asymptotic Number of Rooted Maps on a Surface

Let S be a surface. We asymptotically enumerate two classes of n-edges maps on S as n approaches infinity: rooted and rooted smooth. These are based on a system of equations which give, in principle, the exact generating functions. (Author)
