International Symposium: Endotoxin, Structural Aspects and Immunobiology of Host Responses Held in Bari, Italy on 29 May - 1 June 1986

The International Symposium on Endotoxin was articulated in five sessions. Three poster sessions in the areas of Chemistry, Biology and Clinical Applications of Lipopolysaccharides which accommodated over 100 scientific presentations. A total of 261 scientists attended the symposium. Pertained to structure and synthesis of LPS components including: O-polysaccharide chain; Outer membrane; LPS Fate and Pathogenicity in the host; LPS effects on host Immune Responses; LPS-macrophage interactions and mediator production; LPS immunity and protection from gram-negative infections.
