International Symposium on Endotoxin, Structural Aspects and Immunobiology of Host Responses Held in Giovinazzo, Italy on May 29-1 June 1986

The International Symposium on Endotoxin was held (May 29 - June 1, 1986) at the Hotel Riva del Sole, Giovinazzo (Bari), Italy. Three poster sessions in the areas of Chemistry, Biology and Clinical Applications of Lipopolysaccharides were held which accommodated over 100 scientific presentations. Sessions pertained to : Structure and Synthesis of Lipopolysaccharide Components; Polysaccharide; Lipid A Structure; Lipid A Synthesis; Biologic Membrane Functions of LPS; Endotoxin: Fate and Pathogenicity in the Host; LPS-Membrane Perturbations and Cell activation; LPS Effects on Host Immune Responses; LPS-Macrophage Interactions and Mediator Production; LPS Immunity and Protection from Gram-Negative Infections.
