Numerical cloud models which predict mixing ratios of the various water and ice hydrometeor species, e.g., cloud water, rain water, cloud ice, graupel/hail, etc., are often called bulk or parameterized microphysical models. In this study, such a microphysics scheme is proposed, based on an assumed doubly truncated exponential size distribution for the particles.
