Procedures are described for manually computing the large sacle tendency (LST) terms for NOWLAPS, a one-dimensional planetary boundary layer model designed for shipboard use. A description of the design and testing of the LST method is provided in NAVENVPREDRSCHFAC Contractor Report CR 87-07, Determining Large Scale Tendency Terms for the Navy Over-Water Local Atmospheric Prediction System (NOWLAPS).
