摘要

Flux-corrected transport (FCT) algorithms for conservatively integrating generalized continuity and hydromagnetic equations in two spatial dimensions are described. By placing the magnetic-field components at the interface locations of the finite-difference grid, the field is kept divergence-free to within machine roundoff error. The new algorithms are particularly well suited for magnetohydrodynamical problems involving shocks and other discontinuities. Keywords: Finite difference methods; Magnetohydrodynamics.
