Three-dimensional image reconstructing method for e.g. medical imagery, involves taking two-dimensional image of object by detectors, and obtaining three-dimensional image from two-dimensional image by probability reconstruction algorithm
The method involves taking a two-dimensional image of an object by two-dimensional detectors e.g. gamma cameras (1, 3), preceded by coded mask type collimators (5, 6) respectively. The image is constituted by a two-dimensional projection of the object, where opening fraction of each collimator ranges between 25 and 75 percent, and a three-dimensional image is obtained from the two-dimensional image by a digital probability reconstruction algorithm. The object is located in a field zone nearer to the collimators. An independent claim is also included for a device for reconstructing a two-dimensional image of an object transmitting radioactive energy radiation.
