Underwater Shock in the Far-Field from a Distribution of Charges

摘要

An acoustic model incorporating seabed, sea surface and cavitation effects isused to predict the far field underwater shock from a distribution of explosive charges. A comparison of model predictions with experimental data for phenomena that cannot be considered strictly acoustic show that such a model provides a useful first approximation, and illustrates some of the errors resulting from the simplifying assumption of an acoustic process.
