摘要

The effect of control filters on the interaction between solitons at differentfrequencies in wavelength-division-multiplexing systems is investigated. The insertion of control filters leads to an improvement in the system performance. The insertion of filters into transoceanic repeaterless fiber links has been proposed to control the walk-off of solitons that is due to the Gordon-Haus effect. Fabry-Perot-like filters that possesses a periodic transmission permit wavelength-multiplexed soliton transmission while serving to control the walk-off in each channel. Wavelength-multiplexed solitons pass through each other while they propagate.
