Information Presentation for Expert Systems in Future Fighter Aircraft

摘要

This study explored the method for presentation of information in the context ofa crew-aiding intelligent associate. Forty-five male Air Force pilots and forty-five male and female students served as subjects in the evaluation of prototype display designs. Categorical information coding produced the shortest processing and response times for both groups of subjects. Confidence in decision making was shown to be affected by both coding schema and subject experience level.
