Theory of Morphology-Dependent Resonances: Shape Resonances, Width Formulas andGraphical Representations

The theory of morphology-dependent resonances of a spherical particle isdeveloped in analogy with the theory of quantum mechanical shape resonances. Exact analytic formulas for predicting the widths of the resonances are developed. A useful graphical procedure for organizing and displaying data for a spectrum of resonances is demonstrated.
