摘要

UNiA1, which forms in the hexagonal structure undergoes an antiferromagnetic transition at T_N = 19.3 K. The strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy, which is of uniaxial type is reflected also in the thermoelectric power (TEP) which was measured along the principal axes in the temperature range 1.5-280 K. The TEP in UNiA1 is closely connected with its magnetic state. The low-temperature variation of the TEP is due to the appearance of magnetic zone boundaries resulting from the antiferromagnetic order of UNiA1 and due to the variation in the relaxation time of scattering of the conduction electrons.
