Photographers are like hot-rodders. We can't wait to modify our equipment to make it do things the manufacturers never intended. Nowhere is this more rampant than in our constant experimentation with different inks and papers for inkjet printers. There's good reason for this: The simplest and best way to increase image quality on an inkjet printer is to use better paper. Paper. You also hear the terms media and substrates tossed around/but let's just call it what everybody does, even if we're not talking about paper in the dead-tree sense of the word.
