Dynamics and synchronization of an electrical circuit consisting of a Van Der Pol oscillator coupled to a Duffing oscillator

We present a simple electrical circuit that consists of a Van der Pol oscillator coupled to a Duffing type oscillator. The equations of the model are derived. The stability of the system is investigated. Approximate analytical solutions are obtained and a quenching phenomenon is observed. Finally, synchronization of two identical such systems is investigated.
