APPLICATIONS OF THE PENG-ROBINSON EQUATION OF STATE USING MATLAB

The Peng-Robinson equation of state (PR EOS) was suggested in 1976 to satisfy the following objectives: 1. Parameters of this EOS should be defined in terms of the critical properties and the acentric factor. 2. Reasonable accuracy near the critical point, particularly for calculations of the compressibility factor and liquid density. 3. A single binary interaction parameter, which should be independent of temperature pressure and composition, is needed for the mixing rules. 4. PR EOS should be applicable in natural gas processes.
