Siluria Secures Funding to Advance Natural Gas-to-Chemicals Process

San Francisco-Siluria Technologies said it has raised $13.3-million in a Series A round of funding, allowing the company to advance its natural gas-to-chemicals platform to meet the performance levels required for commercialization (PCN, 5 July 2010, p 4).The company is the first with technology for direct, cost-effective conversion of natural gas into chemicals, materials and fuels. Its technology will first "target" the $160-billion annual market for ethylene, Siluria explained.
