Idemitsu Completing Investment Study For Vietnamese Refinery.PC Complex

Hanoi-Idemitsu Kosan expects to complete in October its detailed analysis on the investments required for the Nghi Son refinery and petrochemical complex proposed by PetroVietnam(PCN,26 June 06,p 2).Petro Vietnam in 2004 submitted a final feasibility study for a 7-million-t/y refinery,a 300,000-t/y polypropylene plant and a 260,000-t/y polyester facility at Nghi Son,in Vietnam's Thanh Hoa province.The company has estimated that the complex will cost 3-billion and has said it is considering possible partners for the project.
