India Imposing Special LAB Import Duty

New Delhi— The Indian government has decided to impose a special duty of 20% on the import of linear alkyl benzene (LAB) from Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland. The special duty, which is in addition to the existing 7.5% import duty on LAB, is being provisionally imposed for a period of 200 days, but could be extended for up to three years.
