Qatofin Awards Contract to Talke For Dedicated Logistics Terminal

Doha-Qatofin has awarded Talke Logistic Services a $38-million contract for the construction of a logistics terminal and provision of logistic services in Mesaieed, Qatar. The terminal will receive between 450,000 t/y and 600,000 t/y of polyethylene (PE) from Qatofin's Mesaieed plant. Qatofin, a venture of Qatar Petrochemical, Qatar Petroleum and Total Petrochemicals, is expected to complete its 450,000-t/y linear low-density PE facility next year (PCN, 2 Apr 07, p 3).
