Liaoning Huajin Targets Trial Runs For New Paniin HOPE & PP Plants

Panjin-Liaoning Huajin Chemical plans to begin trial production at its new high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) plants in Panjin, China's Liaoning Province, during the second quarter of this year, local industry sources report. Liaoning Huajin earlier announced construction of a 300,000-t/y HDPE plant, based on Ineos' Innovene S technology, and a 250,000-t/y PP facility, using Basell's Spheripol process, at Panjin (PCN, 10 Sept 07, p 2).
