摘要

Studies were conducted during kharif 2008-2009 to evaluate the bio efficacy of insecticides viz., imidacloprid 70 WS at 5 g and 7.5 g/kg, thiamethoxam 70 WS at 5 g and 7.5 g/kg and carbosulfan 25 DS at 30 g and 45 g/kg as seed dressers against cottonearly season sucking pests and their impact on natural enemies. AH the insecticides tested were superior to untreated check by recording lower population of sucking pests. Among the seed treatment insecticides, imidacloprid @ 7.5g/kg was effective against aphids and thrips, where as thiamethoxam @ 7.5g/kg was most effective against leafhoppers. All the treatments showed efficacy against sucking pests upto 40 DAS compared to 60 DAS. The seed treatment insecticides showed increase in plant height comparedto untreated control.
