Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) last week urged the conference committee reconciling the House and Senate versions of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reform bill to include a ban on bisphenol A in children's products. According to Schumer, the BPA-Free Kids Act of 2008 (S. 2928), which he introduced on April 29, "is an important protection for consumers and should be included in the CPSC Reform Act."
