Simon Beck is Professor of Philosophy at the University of the Western Cape. His central research interests are in problems in the broad area of personal identity, both substantial and methodological. Amongst his recent publications in this area are 'These Bizarre Fictions: Thought-Experiments, Our Psychology and Our Selves', Philosophical Papers 35, no.l (2006) and 'Causal Co-Personality: In Defence of the Psychological Continuity Theory', South African Journal of Philosophy 30, no.2 (2011).
