Roche to invest billions in diagnostics production

Roche has announced plans to invest over 240 million Swiss francs (around R2.24 billion) in its Penzberg biotechnology centre, near Munich, Germany. The plans call for construction of a new production facility, to be known as Diagnostics Operations Complex II (DOCII). The facility is scheduled to be operational in December 2014 and will create 50 new jobs.
