摘要

The main objective of this research is to predict permeability values precisely. One of the major challenges in carbonate formations is to analyze and quantify noneffective pores like secondary porosity. Three wells were chosen. The estimation model was built in the model well through core and well log data using two methods. Moreover, a secondary porosity index was calculated and imported to the model. This model was applied to predict permeability in two control wells and the outputs were cross-checked against core data. The results showed that recognizing secondary porosity in carbonates with dual pore systems is important for precise prediction of permeability values.
