The submissions on the UK government's Energy Review - 500 of them, along with 2,000 written responses - are now in and the process has moved on from the consultation phase to analysis and report.Below,we reproduce a summary of the Energy Institute's (El) own submission* - in which it calls for balance in demand- and supply-side considerations, and emphasises the need for training in order to deal with a growing skills shortage. The article also provides a brief overview of the submissions from the UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA) and a consortium of 35 organisations active in promoting sustainable energy.A final report is expected to be published 'by the summer',according to the government.
