摘要

The Hays Energy Salary and Benefits Guide 2014, produced in association with the El, reveals that most workers in the industry are happy with their role. Yet employers remain concerned about skills shortages. The 2014 survey covers the oil and gas, nuclear, renewables, biomass, biofuels, utilities and combined heat and power markets as well as energy demand and efficiency. Of the 1,091 people who responded to the survey, 30% saw their salary rise broadly in line with the cost of living in 2013 at between 2-3%. Yet one quarter had no increase, 2% saw their pay cut and 10% received a pay rise of up to 1 %. Members of the Energy Institute (El) accounted for 56% of all respondents.
