An analysis using GIS was done to determine the effects of animal farms on tile quality of Surface water in Central Luzon. Maps were digitized and analyzed using the Terrasoft GIS software. secondary data were gathered from reports and interviews, while water quality of the Pampanga River was monitored every week. General inference from the results was that different animal species in different area classifications affected the water quality of the streams at different flow periods. Hog farms and poultry farms closer to streams during the low flow periods, and ruminants within the total catchment area during the rising limb of the high flow period, had significant adverse relationships with water quality. Animal production significantly affected nitrate-N concentration of water. Increasing animal production by three-fold revealed miter quality would exceed the limit of 10 ppm nitrate-N at only one station.
