摘要

This paper outlines an optimal enumerative coding algorithm of quantized continuous functions with reconstruction accuracy corresponding to the Hausdorff metric. The algorithm is based on using the recurrent correlation and calculative procedure of enumerating the combinatory elements with the given Markov constraints. The complexity of the coding algorithm based on enumeration principles is almost evident. It is shown that the algorithm can be extended for application in two- and multidimensional object compression schemes. It is suitable for compressing both the stationary images and video sequences of dynamic scenes.
