The European Union moved this week to usher in new rules on GMO traces in a bid to smooth the passage of the EU's burgeoning animal feed imports. The new rules, officially adopted by the European Commission this week and set to enter into force within 20 days, set an effective threshold of 0.1% for traces of unapproved GMO varieties in conventional consignments.
