Nigeria:Brass LNG back on the rails

TOTAL joined the group planning to construct a liquefied natural gas(LNG)complex at Brass,on the southern part of the Niger delta,last month-putting the project back on track for start-up in 2011.The firm said it had acquired the 17% formerly held by Chevron,which decided earlier this year to withdraw from the project.Go-ahead for the first two trains,with a capacity of 5.0m tonnes a year(t/y)each,is expected by year-end,Total said.
