摘要

Oil markets rose in a week of volatile trading, during which US government agency the EIA revised down its estimates of US crude production. Atlantic basin crude benchmark North Sea Dated rose by $5.75/bl to $50.36/bl over the week to 3 September, edging above the $50/bl mark for the first time since late July, while US marker October WTI climbed by $4.19/bl on the week to $46.75/bl. The EIA has switched to a new calculation methodology for its survey of US crude production that suggests shale oil output in Texas is falling faster than previously stated. The EIA revised its output estimates for the first half of 2015 down by as much as 130,000 b/d.
