摘要

Chinese politicians are weighing familiar choices as they decide how to pull the country out of an economic slowdown for the second time since 2008. Another stimulus like that of 2008-10 risks pushing up energy demand and debt. Twice bitten, not shy seems to be Beijing's take on an old proverb. The Mandarin version of the saying is "bitten by a snake on one morning, afraid of the rope by the well for 10 years". But China is headed straight back to the well.
