Chinese banks ready for Yamal LNG

Russia’s Yamal LNG consortium is close to securing $13.5bn of project finance from Chinese banks. Project partner Total is “reasonably optimistic” that financing will be in place by the end of this year, chief financial officer Patrick de la Chevardiere says.
