GAMESA SIGNS MAJOR US WIND TURBINE DEAL

Gamesa Wind US LLC., a subsidiary of the world's second leading wind turbine manufacturer, Spain's Gamesa Eolica, has signed a deal to provide up to 600 MW of wind turbines to Horizon Wind Energy for projects based in the United States. The frame agreement initially calls for Gamesa to supply 400 MW with an option for an additional 200 MW of generating capability during 2006 and 2007. The company will supply its full line of G8X-2.0 MW wind turbines, including the Gamesa G80, G83, G87, and G90 units.
