The Mk6 Fiesta Zetec-S TDCi is still one of the best ways of keeping both your head and your heart happy. So you want a sporty little hatch. You want it to be small, light and nimble. You need it to be practical and cost pence to run. But you also want a bit of get-up-and-go, a bit of grunt to get you excited. And, because you can only afford to run one car, you want it to be useable on a daily basis, and have a few creature comforts to soothe you on your drive to work and back. Until recently, such a list of criteria would have left you without options. A compromise would have been the only way out - less comfort for better handling, or poorer fuel consumption for more power. But the rise of the diesel warm hatch has given us an answer to this conundrum. And while these frugal cars don't offer RS-beating levels of performance, they do keep the driving experience entertaining while sipping fuel.
