World air passenger volumes are expected to grow at between six and 11 percent per annum over the next few years - and infrastructure has to keep pace. However many airports have already reached the limits of their capacity. Building or expanding an airport is normally a long and complex process, but fly-port development and its partners are now offering the flyport. This future-oriented alternative enables airport operators to expand existing airport terminals or even erect new terminals quickly and in full compliance with international regulations and standards. The flyport concept is based on prefabricated module units that can be customised to the client's needs and contain all the equipment usually required in a terminal. These can then be put together to form a complete system without lengthy construction work.
