The new Binks 'AA4400A' automatic spraygun from ITW Industrial Finishing, is aimed at medium- to high-production multi-gun automated spray finishing lines - particularly in the wood finishing sector - and is said to combine the best features of HVLP and air assisted airless atomisation.The gun incorporates an innovative air cap design, which produces a finely atomised "soft spray" to optimise finish quality with the highest possible transfer efficiencies - resulting in significant paint savings as well as compliance with the toughest environmental regulations.The spraygun's tip and air cap are said to use lower fluid and air pressures than competitive guns; this means that, as well as creating the softer spray action, the gun also consumes less energy - reducing energy costs.
