Robots at Skelmersdale: new levels of efficiency and throughput

SCA Hygiene is counting the benefits ot robotisation at its 120,000 tpy tissue converting plant in Skelmersdale in north west England. The fully automated plant is deliv-ering increases in throughput and efficiency along with cost savings and a quieter and safer working environment. In terms of labour costs alone, the savings are the equivalent of 30 salaries.
