OCCURRENCE OF ENTOMOPATHOGENIC NEMATODES IN PAKISTAN

Surveys were conducted during September, 2003-Febraury, 2004 of Sindh and Punjab provinces of Pakistan from cultivated land of fruits, vegetable and cash crops for the study of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN). A total of 603 samples were collected in which 16 (2.5%) showed positive results for Entomopathogenic nematodes. Of these 12 (75%) isolates belonged to the genus Steinernema and 4 (25%) isolates were from the genus Heterorhabditis.
